Best Monero (XMR) mining pool in 2026 — 67 pools compared by fee, payout scheme and pool-reported blocks

Published 2026-09-16 · Source: Mining Scan pool scan · Last scan 5 min ago · /coin/xmr · Data status

Short answer: There is no single best Monero pool — it depends on what you trade off. Mining Scan tracks 67 pools that list Monero (XMR). Their published fees run from 0% to 2.1%. For zero fee and no pool operator: P2Pool (p2pool.io, 0%, PPLNS) — but it needs your own synced Monero node. For the largest pool-reported block counters: web.xmrpool.eu (0.9%, PPLNS, 56,746 blocks reported by the pool), monerohash.com (1.6%, PROP, 22,136 blocks reported by the pool), monero.herominers.com (0.9%, SOLO, PROP, 7,397 blocks reported by the pool) — numbers the pools themselves report, not our verification. Pick by the pool's block record and payout scheme first, fee second.

How we rank Monero pools

We do not rank by reputation or by what a pool claims about itself. Each row is what our scanner observed: the fee the pool publishes, its payout scheme, the block counter the pool itself reports, and the miners it reports online. These are the pools' own counters, not our check against the chain: some pool software also counts pending and orphaned blocks in them. A dash means we could not read the value — it never means zero. A published fee above 10% is shown as unverified instead of being quoted as a fact. Exchanges are excluded: they are not pools. If a value is wrong, see corrections and tell us.

Monero pools with a block record

Pools whose own block counter our scanner could read, largest first. These are the pools' own counters, not our check against the chain: some pool software also counts pending and orphaned blocks in them. The table is rebuilt from the database on every request.

5 pool(s) report 0 blocks (rbmpool.com, xmr.pw, 1miner.net, minorpool.online, kriptokyng.com); 56 of 67 pools expose no block counter we can read. Unreadable is not the same as none — many pools simply do not publish a counter our scanner can read.

A dash means the pool does not publish that field — it never means zero.

A 0% fee is not free money: P2Pool has no operator but needs your own node; a pool with 0% and no visible block record may be new, tiny or mis-scraped. Fee is one column of four.

PPLNS, PPS or SOLO for Monero?

PPLNS (pay-per-last-N-shares) pays out when the pool finds a block, split by each miner's part of the last N shares — your income follows the pool's luck. PPS (pay-per-share) pays for each share whether or not the pool finds a block — the pool operator carries that risk; PPS+ and FPPS also pass on transaction fees. PROP (proportional) splits each found block by the shares of that round. SOLO gives the entire block reward to the miner who finds the block.

Of the 67 Monero pools we track, 39 list PPLNS, 4 list PPS, PPS+ or FPPS, 25 list SOLO, 11 list PROP (a pool can offer several schemes).

FAQ

Is there a Monero pool with 0% fee?

Yes — 9 of the 67 Monero pools we track publish a 0% fee, including p2pool.io, antpool.com, c3pool.com. Check the block record and payout scheme before trusting a fee alone.

Is P2Pool better than a normal Monero pool?

It is a different trade-off. According to the P2Pool project, it is a decentralized pool with no pool admin, a 0% fee and PPLNS payouts — but you must run a synced Monero node (monerod) next to it, and wallet addresses are public on P2Pool. Smaller sidechains (mini and nano) are selected with the --mini or --nano option.

Which Monero pools report the most blocks?

On our scan: web.xmrpool.eu (56,746 blocks reported by the pool), monerohash.com (22,136 blocks reported by the pool), monero.herominers.com (7,397 blocks reported by the pool). These are the pools' own counters, not our check against the chain: some pool software also counts pending and orphaned blocks in them. Pools without a readable counter are not ranked here.

How many Monero mining pools are there?

Mining Scan tracks 67 pools that list Monero (XMR), out of 927 pools in the whole directory (exchanges excluded).

Why does a fee say "unverified"?

The pool publishes a fee above 10% (haromonero.com: 100%). We show it, but do not quote it as a fact until it is confirmed.

Why does a pool show a dash instead of a number?

Because we could not read that value from the pool. A dash means unknown — never zero, never no.

How often is this comparison updated?

The tables on this page are rebuilt from our pool-scan database on every request. When this page was generated, the newest pool metric in that database was 5 min old. The live Data Status page shows current freshness.
